After hosting and teaching a successful seminar on after-throw techniques for the Jiu-Jitsu BC Society, Lori O'Connell Sensei was awarded her third degree black belt.

The presentation was made by her instructor Shihan Ed Hiscoe who flew out from Ottawa for the ceremony. The promotion was made based on her testing for the level 2 instructor qualifications for Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu's black belt college.
